Minors Baseball -  where the kids begin pitching to each other, advancing on passed balls, stealing bases and really learning the great game of baseball.

Important Dates:

Fall Registration Opens: Monday, July 7

Assessments: Friday August 15th & Saturday, August 16

Draft: Sunday, August 17

Practices Start: Monday, August 18

Fall Opening Day: Saturday, September 13

Fall 2025 Minors assessments will take place on Friday August 15th for 10u & Saturday August 16th for 9u.

Minors 9 Year Olds: Saturday, August 16th. 

- Player will be 9 years old before 4/30/2026

- A-L Last Name: 2:30 - 3:45

- M-Z Last Name: 3:45 - 5:00

- Field 1 (Check-in near small concession stand)

Minors 10 Year Olds: Friday, August 15th

- Player will be 10 years old before 4/30/2026

- A-L Last Name: 5:00 - 6:15

- M-Z Last Name: 6:15 - 7:30

- Field 1 (Check-in near small concession stand)

*Please arrive 15 minutes early for check in.
**Coaches will send out a welcome email after the draft specifying practice dates/times as well as game schedule.

Matthews Athletic & Recreation Association (MARA) incurs various league, medical, security, uniform, insurance, and administrative fees which are not refundable to the organization. Therefore, if you withdraw your player fifteen (15) days or more before the stated registration period closes for a sport/program, we will provide a refund of the total registration fee, LESS A $50 PROCESSING FEE.  Otherwise, we do not provide any refunds for a player withdrawing from a program.
