Registration will open January 1

Season: March 14 – May 17, 2026 (Games on Saturdays)

Practice: 1 hour before games (preseason may be on weekdays)

Ages: Coed, 6–14 years

Cost: $215/player (includes personalized uniform)

Flag Football Registration

2025 Fall/Winter Flag Football

Refund Policy: Matthews Athletic and Recreation Association (MARA) incurs various league, medical, security, uniform, insurance, and administrative fees which are not refundable to the organization. Therefore, if you withdraw your player fifteen (15) days or more before the stated registration period closes for a sport, we will provide a refund of the total registration fee, LESS A $50 Admin Fee. Otherwise, we do not provide any refunds for a player withdrawing from the program

MARA Colts Fall/Winter Flag Football

Season Starts: 11/01/2025
Games End: 12/13/2025
Game Day: Saturday
Practices: On Saturdays before the games (during the season)
Who Can Play: Boys and Girls (Ages 6 -14) 
Where: MARA -1200 S Trade Street, Matthews, NC 28105
Cost: $200 per child 

Equipment: A deposit check in the amount of $175 will be required for a MARA issued football helmet. The deposit check (uncashed) will be returned at the end of the season when the football helmet is returned to MARA.

 **Age divisions are based on the date of 10/31/2025 (i.e., what age will child be on 10/31/2025) with divisions ages adjusted, as needed, to balance the number of players per team and division.
