Q: What does my registration fee include?
A: Player Jersey, Pants, Socks, Belt, Field Time, Char-Meck Softball Fee

Q: What equipment will I need to purchase for my athlete?
A: All athletes must provide their own Cleats, Softball Bat, Softball Glove, Fielding Facemask, and Batting Helmet.

Q: My athlete is X years old, what age group are they permitted to play in?
A: Age groups are determined by your athletes age on the last day of the current year.

6u - Ages 4-6
8u - Ages 7-8
10u - Ages 9-10
13u - Ages 11-13
18u - Ages 14 - 18

Q: Are athletes permitted to move up or down an age group based on skill?
A: Skilled athletes can try out for an older age group. If they choose to play in that higher group, they can't go back down. They can't play in a younger age group under any circumstance.

Q: What is the rec schedule? When will my child have practices and games?
A:To assist our families with scheduling, practices and game times are kept as consistent as possible throughout the season.

6u - Ages 4-6: Practice Wednesdays @ 5:00-6:00PM; Games Saturdays @ 9:00-10:00AM
8u - Ages 7-8: Practices and Games Mondays & Wednesdays @ 6:00-7:30PM, Saturdays @ 9:00-10:30AM
10u - Ages 9-10: Practices and Games Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 6:00-7:30PM, Saturdays @ 10:30AM-12:00PM
13u - Ages 11-13: Practices and Games Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 7:30-9:00PM, Saturdays @ 12:00-1:30PM
18u - Ages 14 - 18: Practices and Games Mondays & Wednesdays @ 6:00-7:30PM, Saturday Practices @9:00-10:30AM; game times more flexible depending on field availability.

Q: Where will my child have rec practices and games?
A:Practices will all take place at MARA. Games are split evenly between home and away games; this means half of your child's games will be at MARA and half of them will be at another facility. Visit charmecksoftball.org to view the different associations' locations.

Q: I'm not a coach, but I want to help out. Are there any other ways to volunteer?
A: At MARA, we believe it takes a team to make every season unforgettable—not just the players, but the parents too! Whether you’re a sports enthusiast or just passionate about building a strong community, we’ve got a role for YOU.
