Get ready for an exciting season at MARA Softball this Fall – we can't wait to welcome your family!

While our divisions remain consistent, we're thrilled to announce two major updates that will enhance your softball experience:

Firstly, our 6u Softball program is now transitioning to T-Ball under the MARA umbrella. This means all games will be held at MARA, eliminating the need for travel. Enjoy more games against MARA teams and exclusive access to our T-Ball Fields. We're offering options for All-girl and Co-Ed teams. Girls ages 4-5 will register for T-Ball through baseball. Girls ages 6 and up will register for softball, starting with our 8u division. Baseball Registrations (marasports.org)

Secondly, due to high demand following the success of our 2024 pilot Travel softball programs, we are expanding further! Following the achievements of our 10u and 12u teams, we're excited to introduce 8u and 14u teams this fall. Stay tuned for tryout details. If you register for Rec and qualify for a Travel team, your fees will seamlessly transfer, and we'll give your spot in Rec to the next girl on the waitlist.

Mark your calendars with these important dates:

Monday, July 15th: Registration opens for all divisions; 8u and up.

Saturday, August 17th: Assessments for 8u, 10u, 13u, and 18u (Time and Format TBD).

Sunday, August 18th: Team formations begin.

Wednesday, August 21st: Practices begin for 8u and 18u.

Thursday, August 22nd: Practices start for 10u and 13u.

Sunday, August 25th: Challenge Team tryouts.

Games are set to begin the week of September 6th.

Last but not least, I'm thrilled to introduce MARA Softball’s newest commissioner, Alyx Dill. Alyx and I will co-Commish this season as she transitions into the role full-time in the Spring.

Serving as your commissioner has been an incredible honor and I'm confident Alyx will lead us to even greater success. Please extend her the same support you've shown me over the years!

Refund Policy: Matthews Athletic and Recreation Association (MARA) incurs various league, medical, security, uniform, insurance, and administrative fees, which are not refundable to the

organization. Therefore, if you withdraw your player fifteen (15) days or more before the stated registration period closes for a sport, we will provide a refund of the total registration fee, LESS A $50 Admin Fee. Otherwise, we do not provide any refunds for a player withdrawing from the program.
