Cheer Registration Listing

2025-2026 Basketball Cheer

New to MARA! A fun, instructional cheer program designed for athletes ages 6-10. Cheerleaders will align with the boys and girls A_B division of MARA Basketball.

The basketball cheer program will focus on sideline cheers, technique and etiquette. All skill levels are welcome. The program is 100% recreational. There are no tryouts and no competitions.

Practices Wednesday from 6-7 pm starting Dec. 15, location TBD. Games will be Saturdays or Sundays.

Registration fee includes all uniform pieces (including body liner and shorts), bow and full size pom poms. Shell, skirt and poms will be returned at the end of season. White cheer shoes shoes required.

Matthews Athletic and Recreation Association (MARA) incurs various league, medical, security, uniform, insurance, and administrative fees which are not refundable to the organization. Therefore, if you withdraw your player fifteen (15) days or more before the stated registration period closes for a sport/program, we will provide a refund of the total registration fee, LESS A $50 Processing Fee. Otherwise, we do not provide any refunds for a player withdrawing from the program.
