Competitive Cheer Program
MARA's Competitive Cheer Program will return in 2024! Please check back with us in June for updates and registration.
MARA’s 1⁄2 year limited travel competitive cheer program is offered to athletes ages 11 through 15 years old who are extremely passionate about the sport. Age is determined as of October 1st. Athletes signing up for this program may also participate in our Pop Warner Cheer program. Competitive Cheer practices will start the first week in November and the season will continue through April of the following year.
This program is great for athletes with prior cheer or gymnastics experience (however not required), a competitive attitude, and strong work ethic. Our competitive cheer program is fast paced, more intense, and focused on perfecting and drilling skills to be successful at the competitive level. Athletes will learn a physically demanding 2 minute and 30 second routine and compete in four (4) or more local competitions between January through April. There’s the potential for advancement to a national level championship depending on performance. Registration for tryouts will be free. Athletes who make the team will be required to pay fees by the required deadlines.
