Tryout Overview

We would like to invite all Elite athletes to try out and be a part of our expanding program. We pride ourselves on developing players from across the city to help them—and this program—continue to grow and remain dominant.

Sunday, November 23 – Matthews Sportsplex

• 10U, 11U, 12U: 2:00–4:00 PM
• 13U, 14U: 4:30–6:30 PM

Saturday, December 6 – Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park

• 10U, 11U, 12U: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
• 13U, 14U: 12:30–2:30 PM

Players DO NOT need to attend both tryouts. One tryout covers the athlete completely.

Tryout registration fee: $20
Includes 2 hours of workouts plus a Matthews Elite drawstring bag for every registered player.

Team Structure for 2026

We anticipate forming at least one team per division (10U–14U) for our 2026 Competitive Tournament Teams. These teams will compete in a minimum of seven tournaments from January through May.

Additionally, we plan to form Winter League Teams (one per division) with Saturday games running January 3–31, including at least eight games across five weekends.

Registration Options

When registering for tryouts, you will be asked to indicate whether you are interested in:

• Winter Season ONLY (cost $275*)
• 2026 Competitive Tournament Team ONLY (cost $500*)
• Both

*Payment plans available

Selecting Both is recommended if you want to be considered for the Competitive Team but still want eligibility for a Winter Team if you are not selected for the tournament roster.

Players cannot participate on both a Winter Season Team and a Competitive Tournament Team due to practice/game conflicts.

Note: 7v7 and flag football are different sports played on different days. Many players participate in both!
