BOARD OF DIRECTOR ELECTION INFORMATION
There are 6 seats open for election. Below is a description of the seats open with the term information. More information on the roles and duties of a board member can be found at www.marasports.org/bylaws.
President – Elect: A one-year term. The President-Elect will become the next President of MARA in January 2023 for a two-year term. The President-Elect is responsible for supporting all MARA operations with the President.
Treasurer: A two-year term. The treasurer is responsible for balancing the books, budget forecasting, insurance policy renewals, preparation of tax returns, and coordination with the auditor for the annual audit. It is highly recommended the candidate have prior experience in finance and knowledge of QuickBooks.
Secretary: A one- year term. The secretary is responsible for creating and distributing the monthly minutes as well as keeping track of attendance at the monthly Board Meetings and answering questions regarding the same.
General Board Member (3 Seats Open): A one or two year term commencing January 2022. Board members are responsible for attending monthly board meetings, leading and/ or participating on the various committees at MARA such as finance, park operations, and technology.
