Here are some key dates and items to be aware of:
- 8u and up registration closes February 9th OR when a division is full.
- If a division is full, later registered players are moved to a waitlist and will be place on teams in order of registration date should a spot open.
- 6u registration will close March 2nd and teams will be formed by March 5th; practices to begin the following weekend.
- Registration will default based on age. If a player is playing in a higher division, please register for what the system defaults and then send Kathy Duncan and I an email requesting the move up. We will invoice you the balance once the transfer is complete, should there be a difference in fee.
- If you are interested in coaching, please check the box when registering or email me directly. We are always looking for parents to help out and would welcome your interest. We do have a good amount of returning coaches, but will have some positions to fill this season.
Assessments for 8u and up – Scheduled to be held Saturday, February 12th. Its typically a tough weather month, so subject to change if needed. Teams will be formed the following day, February 13th. We ask you make every effort to please attend assessments, it helps us form the most even teams possible. *Reminder, it is not a tryout, everyone who is registered will be placed on a team.
Schedule – division practice and games will remain the same as prior seasons. 8u and 18u held Monday, Wednesday, Saturday. 10u and 13u held Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. 6u Friday and Saturday; with possibility of 1 other weekday depending on # of teams.
- 8u and up
- Practice will begin the week of February 14th
- March 21st – regular season games begin
- May 14th – End of Season tournament begins (tbd based on rainouts and when regular season finishes).
- 6u – tbd opening gameday. Likely the weekend of April 2nd.
Challenge Softball – 8u, 10u and 13u; Registration will open after teams are formed with tryouts scheduled for Sunday, February 20th. This is a try out process and the selected team will play in at least 2 competitive tournaments along with quality addition weekly practice time (Friday and Sunday). *18u is always dependent on # of charmeck teams each season. If other association can form a team, MARA would plan to.
- Tentative tournament dates are scheduled for March 27th and May 1st
All Stars – will take place this spring again. Scheduled to be June 16 – 19. June 16th is open ceremonies followed by games Friday – Sunday.
